Our Urbandi MAX heavy-duty hidden bracket system is engineered for exceptional support. When properly installed, shelf capacity is up to 40 lbs per stud depending on shelf length, mounting configuration, and the number of wall studs available.
Using forged US Steel which is stronger and made from up 90% recycled steel, each Urbandi MAX shelf bracket is made in-house and can hold up to 40 lbs per stud or up to 120 lbs (based on three studs)

Because we use only solid wood, any piece can be refinished at any point in time. If you change the look and colors of your space, you can sand and refinish solid wood with any finish to achieve a new look. Or you can simply paint them to achieve another look.

Find the studs in your wall using a stud finder, and lightly mark their location with a pencil. Stud installation is highly recommended for a secure fit.
Step 2:
Decide where you want to hang your shelf. Hold the mounting bracket against the wall, making sure it’s level. Mark the screw holes on the wall studs with a pencil.
Step 3:
Partially screw the mounting bracket into the wall using the provided screws. Check again that the bracket is level, then fully tighten the screws.
Step 4:
Align the holes on the back of the shelf with the bracket extensions, and slide the shelf into place.
For Care, wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid the use of harsh chemicals and household cleaners to protect the finish. Hardware may loosen over time, periodically check that all connections are tight.

Yes. Every Urbandi piece is made through a hands-on build-to-order process. We use modern tools for precision, but the majority of the work is guided by skilled craftspeople who select, cut, assemble, sand, finish, pack, and inspect each piece with care.
Are Urbandi products made from real wood?
Yes. Urbandi products are made from real solid wood, not MDF, particle board, or cheap veneer. Some pieces, such as certain fireplace mantels, use a hollow solid-wood construction to make installation easier and pricing more accessible while still maintaining real wood quality.
Can Urbandi products be used outside?
Most Urbandi products are designed for indoor use, where temperature and humidity are controlled. Outdoor pieces may be available as custom orders using materials and finishes suited for exterior conditions. Contact our team to discuss your project.
How much weight can Urbandi shelves hold?
Weight capacity depends on shelf size, depth, bracket type, and installation method. On average, floating shelves installed into wall studs with the included brackets can hold 25–55 pounds per stud. Longer or deeper shelves may need additional support brackets.
How do I care for real wood?
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Wipe spills right away with a slightly damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasive pads, and silicone-based products. Keep real wood away from extreme heat, direct sunlight, and excessive humidity.
How do you choose your raw material suppliers?
We choose suppliers based on material quality, consistency, responsibility, and proximity. For hardwoods, we work with mills in Central Appalachia and trusted regional partners who provide strong, beautiful wood suited for long-lasting furniture and shelving.
Absolutely beautiful and perfect! We got unfinished white oak with brackets! To keep the natural look of the wood we used General Finishes in dead flat! I can’t state enough how happy we are with the shelves! Took our new kitchen to a different level!
Our experience working with urbandi was great! The wood samples we ordered came quickly and were super helpful in making our decision on what color to go with to match our existing console table. The shelf came quickly considering the holiday rush and was in perfect condition. My husband was able to mount it quickly using the included instructions and we had no issues. We love it so far!
Incredible Quality Shelves! They match our Oak Vanity and Farmhouse Bathroom perfectly. I would put these in any room in the house.
My preference was mounting them with the J-Brackets. They are solid wood, very heavy and sturdy if installed properly.

The shelves are beautiful! I got 4 unfinished white oak 24x12 with brackets. I'm planning on using them for my new kitchen and coffee/beverage bar area. The wood is solid and naturally beautiful. I can't wait to hang them. They are heavy and due to stud location, we are actually using 3 brackets per shelf. They are unfinished but wanted to keep as much of the natural look as possible. So will be using General Finishes water-based topcoat High Performance Dead Flat to preserve natural color but protecting them as well.
You took more than a month to ship the order. I had to fight multipole times over the phone and email to receive my order.
We receive the order and its short a J Bracket.

Should have just pulled from the shelf and shipped the day i called.
They are heavy and high quality shelves. Took a long time to arrive. But both shelves had imperfections (splintering on one of the edges) which was really unfortunate especially considering the cost. I put the imperfection in the back but it wasn't the side I would have selected based on the grain, so that was disappointing.
These shelves are super heavy. Make sure you have a sturdy wall to mount them on. And note that there are only the exact amount of screws included. They aren't as nice as I had hoped for the price.
The shelves themselves were amazing! The screws included for mounting were not. They all stripped and made the installation process tricky. But the shelves look great and are super solid

They are solid oak and just the right balance of rustic and refined. The company communicated regularly and clearly from time of order to delivery. There was a slight delay but it was explained to our satisfaction (a small production team was flooded with orders; the product was worth the very slight delay!) We couldn’t be happier with the experience and highly recommend.
Customer support was super responsive. The shelves on the website didn't include white-was as an option. However, the seller was able to match the stain of the mantel. I'm very happy with them
I noticed that the installation instructions showed the installer using a stud finder. That did not deter me even though I have wet plaster walls in an older home. Studs are not as consistent as they would be with a drywall type wall, and there is no "wiggle room" to find them and move the shelf accordingly as the installation was to have been between an upper kitchen cabinet and the wall. I have successfully mounted many things, including mirrors, on my walls. Yet this shelf is so heavy I don't dare try to mount it or put anything on it even if I use stronger toggle bolts. If the weight of the finished product (with the shelf and brackets together) was mentioned, I would have known not to purchase. I do appreciate the craftsmanship and wish I could use it.
Solid purchase. Was the quality material we were hoping for. One shelf corner was slightly dented to rough handing and transportation of the package. Would recommend padding the corners of the box even more.
The wood and workmanship are really good. I'm using it, without the brackets, as a shelf on top of an old-fashioned radiator. I'm very happy with my purchase.
I ordered 4 shelves for a kitchen renovation and these were perfect for open shelving. I was going to order some off Etsy but it was $1600 and these were under $600 and very good quality and better than the original ones I had in mind. Very solid (heavy!) and beautiful.
