I sent the shelf back, not because there was anything wrong with it. The shelf itself was awesome, well made with oak and great color and craftsmanship. I sent it back partially my fault due to fact it was only one shelf for the price and i didn't read the full description. In all the pictures it shows two shelves, even when the shipping pictures update it shows two. I loved the shelves but for the price it was out of my budget to buy two of them. Customer service was great and I would definitely buy based on the quality and customer service but they where a little to expensive for one shelf.

Easy to install. 54" floating blocking for 72" shelf. Instructions weren't clear but i'd recommend a top and bottom screw at each location so it doesn't have any tilt in it.

I love the look of it but because of the weight of the shelves on the handle pieces it almost impossible to get it sit flush and the shelves are inclined down. When I purchased I assumed it would be metal inside.
Also the two shelves were stacked on top of each other with no sponge buffer and when I was taking the first shelf out I damaged the second one visibly :/ be wary of that. Use two people to take the first shelf out. Do not drag it even a bit in the package.

Nicely crafted, but for the price, the shelf should have all mitered edges, or at least their the front. Why are the tight, mitered edges located only at the rear of. the shelf?

Quick and accurate order. Instructions were straightforward as well. Only suggestion is to use heavier screws when attaching the bracket to the studs based on your own use for the shelf. We’re using ours in a laundry room so I chose thicker screws to hold up to the detergent and weight that the shelf may endure.

The shelves were not constructed evenly and my engineer husband was frustrated. There are no holes drilled in any mounting equipment so this does have many extra steps that other shelves don't have. Ultimately they look nice but research installation before purchasing. These were a pain compared to other floating shelves we have bought.

The shelves are poorly assembled for the price with visible seams and nail holes. One of the wall mounting bracket posts was not glued which enables it to rotate even when tightened. The mounting hardware is not appropriate for the product. The 2” screws are not long enough to go through the bracket and then securely mount in the wall stud. Good thing I had some 3” ones lying around.

The shelves are visually what we wanted.
The joints are all nicely sanded for a great seamless fit. However, we are disappointed with the texture of the shelves. Stain lifts the grain of any wood therefore the boards should have been sanded with a finer sand paper. Our shelves are very rough. Quite disappointing!

The shelves have mitered corners and are well crafted. The provincial stain is a rich golden brown color. The wall mount is made of wood, but I thought it would have been a metal mount for more strength.

Overall pleased with shelves! Pros: Easy to hang, arrived well packaged, color exactly as expected (I did order samples before purchasing). Cons (minor): shipping took longer than expected, a few minor scratches on both shelves (I used teak oil to camouflage), missing 1 screw, no pre drilled holes to attach to mounting bracket as stated in the instructions. Conclusion: Yes, I would order again.

The cause for 2 stars is the price vs quality of material/carpentry. If this were oak/maple/hickory or some price worthy species, then the value would be there. This is #2 white pine with stain slapped on it, with lots of raised grain that becomes a DIY project once you get it, because Urbandi doesn’t do finish work, and after finding reviews on Amazon, it seems to be a common theme with Urbandi’s finish work. I “chatted” with them about the raised grain, and was told to use a soft cloth to “remove” it,,, nope,, you have to either fine grit or steel wool your way out of these canyons(raised grains) or you’ll never be able to dust/clean with any cloth. No compensation offered, needless to say. Bottom line, I thought I was purchasing something that I couldn’t do myself out of my garage,,, 386$ later,,,, I found otherwise, didnt do my research. Spacers, butt joint front, very crude hanging bracket(one screw wonder in pics), mitered joints on the ends, basic.

I love the shelves -- but I am NOT pleased with the brackets. These should be metal brackets, not wood. They are not strong enough to hold much. I needed to buy new metal brackets for $300 to replace. Disappointed in the wood brackets...but I love the shelves.

While the wait for my order was longer than expected, I must say that the look and quality of these shelves are absolutely outstanding. When ordering something like this from a distance, it’s always a concern that it might arrive damaged. So, I was pleasantly surprised to find that, despite a hole in the box, the shelves were perfectly intact inside. I also ordered the matching mantle, which I’ve showcased in this video, and it too is of exceptional quality. My advice? Exercise a bit of patience—good things really do come in large packages!

Shelves bounce around because the brace is made of cheap wood. Cannot hold anything heavy. Cheaply made material that you can see is nailed together. Not worth the money!

The shelves are well made and the oak finish blends in nicely with the wood trim and mantle on the fireplace. Installation took some forethought on where to position the wooden brackets as respects the wall studs. I had to trim off about 2 inches on each bracket due to the placements of the studs. One shelf went in smoothly while the other did not, as the width of the space was just a tad under 54 inches. I wish the instructions would have provided some tips for such a scenario. I had to really pound in the shelf which caused some minor drywall damage to the walls. Overall, I'd recommend Urbandi products and if the need arose, would purchase from Urbandi again.
