The walnut shelves I ordered look great! They are thick, solid shelves. The stain on the wood is beautiful. I really like the live edge on the front. It gives it some character.
I needed to communicate a few times with a support team and I was impressed with how quickly they responded to me with answers to my questions. At one point we thought our order had been lost and they were going to immediately submit a replacement order. I thought that was great customer care. We finally received notice from UPS that they had them and the order was on its way. So no need for replacement order but I liked that they weren’t hesitant to provide that.

Love this shelf, it's beautiful. It is slightly un-level though (I imagine from how the wood is cut) and the holes don't have anything to grip the anchors, so if I were to purchase again I'd angle the anchors a bit so the shelf doesn't sag.

The shelves themselves are beautiful . They are quite heavy. I installed them making sure that I used studs to hang the bracket. Once the shelves were hung, they just don’t feel real sturdy. They wiggle a little on the wall and slope down just a little. I was nervous to put books on the shelves as the shelves themselves are so heavy already.

Both my walnut shelves have cracks 8” minimum in length. And the finish of these shelves completed to the original ones I bought is night and day. Disappointed.
Also your web site says this product would ship in a week. We waited most 3 with no notice of it until it was delivered.

Super high quality product and we couldn’t be more pleased. I share pictures so potential customers can see the variations in “live edge” (which we consider beautiful.) Perhaps Urbandi could provide a smoother live edge if one desires. Installation: follow instructions to a T and you’ll have no issues. Be sure to use screws on the top and bottom edge of the bracket as instructions inform. The hollow wall anchors are insufficient for the size and weight of the shelves we ordered. I used toggle bolts for hollow wall areas in addition to the provided screws for studs. The provided hollow wall anchors did not enable the shelves to be level perpendicular to the wall when I could only utilise one stud for hanging. The walnut is beautifully crafted and made to last a lifetime. If I could rate this product 6 out of 5 stars, I would.

Beautiful walnut shelves. They have a beautiful grain and an impeccable finish. Didn’t realize they’d be so heavy. Packaged well. There was a delay in shipping for the 36” shelves I ordered. The hardware they provided was not really adequate for drywall for such a weight. My handyman replaced the plastic anchors with metal anchors and I believe he used different screws as well. On a final note, you need to update/correct your instruction sheet. The printing was faint and in some places missing. Not a good example of quality. Despite my seemingly negative comments, the shelves are really a work of art. I’m looking forward to decorating them!

Overall I am very happy with the shelves that we ordered from Urbandi. However there is one corner of one of the shelves the was a bit jagged and I think it should have been sanded smooth. This is just a fairly small issue though. I really like how the brackets allow lateral adjustment so you can still hit a wall stud yet put the shelf where you want it on the wall. Great feature along with very pretty wood as well. The shelves were also packaged quite nice to minimize damage while being shipped. I highly recommend this company and would recommend them to anyone who’s in the market for shelving.

Hello. These shelves look really nice on my wall. They were a pain for me to install, however. One came with a chip that seemed to happen from traveling, they were both packaged well otherwise. I bought a 20 inches and 24 inches, and I was disappointed that the bracket for the 20 inches one was smaller than the spacing for the studs in the wall so I had to use two provided anchors to secure the shelf along with a screw in a stud. The larger shelf also had trouble sliding on because one of the holes for the bracket was damaged as well and slightly larger than it should be. In terms of installation, I wish the instructions came with more detail, such as which drill bit to use for the provided screws and anchors. Overall, the company is responsive and gave updates from ordering to arrival. Thank you.

The quality is superb- beautiful to the eyes and smooth to the hand touch. Easy enough to install. But because the screws are quite long, you need strength to screw them into the studs…. Not easy and I ended up hiring a professional handyman. Also, the piece has 1.75” in thickness: in my view not needed. 1.25 - 1.5” should be enough. So be aware of the thickness.

The shelves did not look at all like the website photos. The rough side was a lot lighter in color. In addition, the "live" edge of one shelf--the only shelf removed from the box of four--had a splintery area of it on which a person could accidentally rub against and either get a splinter or snag their clothing. In addition the shelves were too heavy in weight for what worked in the intended space.

We needed a shelf in our laundry and happened to find this semi rustic walnut shelf hoping it would blend in with our old cherry cabinets as well as new platinum laundry pair.
Proved to be a good choice in many ways…. And our guess is that this model urbandi shelf could blend with most anything.

The shelves are outstanding and I really like how they look on my wall. The quality of the shelves and brackets is great. They are also easy to hang solo. My only complaint is in regards to the provided screws. I twisted the heads off multiple while driving into a stud. I cranked down the power on my drill, but that didn't help. I ended up tossing them and using a higher grade screw without further issues. Otherwise, 5 stars.

It took longer that expected to ship the shelf and when I received it I was dissappointed in the color. It's black walnut and the very front of the shelf is so light it appears to be maple. Also, the bracket to hang the shelf and included hardware are not great for weight of the shelf. It's solid walnut and very heavy.

The front of the shelf is beautiful but it doesn't look like they even tried putting two remotely matching pieces together. I am disappointed, expected better after reviewing pictures on the website and paying a top price compared to others because of what I saw.

One of the shelves had a tear drop of excessive poly urethane on it that should have been caught during inspection. Shelf will need to be sanded and then recoated with poly urethane.
