These shelves exceeded my expectations. They are very solid heavy duty and beautiful. I ordered the finished white oak in 60 inches long and 10 inches deep. I also like the fact that they were a couple hundred dollars cheaper than other companies. Great value.

This is a beautiful shelf. It's solid wood so it's incredibly heavy. The hardware sent with the shelf was not suffice to bolt it to the wall. You need to know if it's drywall or metal that you're drilling into as it will require very different hardware. Luckily we had someone who knew how to install it properly. Happy with the final result but it was quite a task in having it installed.

I ordered 2 custom length shelves in black. I could not be happier. There was a miscommunication on the timing of my order and Customer Service and Production stepped up and got it done!! These shelves are beautiful solid wood. I love the black for my space as all my fixtures are black but I do hate the idea of painting such beautiful wood. Highly recommend Urbandi and would definitely purchase again.

We are very pleased with our white oak shelves! They are very sturdy and I can’t wait to stain them and hang them up.
Shipping did take a while but customer service was very prompt in addressing any questions. I would suggest ordering well before needing the items so as not to hold up your project. All that said, we would definitely order from Urbandi again. The care and craftsmanship put into their product shows and the price beats other competitors on the market.

We ordered six 30” by 10” white oak shelves to accompany our new basement and TV. These are beautifully crafted solid pieces of wood that are easy to hang. The fact that there are screw holes all along the bracket ensures you will be able to attach to at least one stud. Have received plenty of compliments.

The quality of the White Oak shelves, wood, and finish are top notch. I couldn't wait to have them up. I installed the shelves in two niches in my Sewing Room. The brackets were screwed into studs but they did not hold the weight of the shelves and slanted downwards, so I had to add cleats to give additional support. I also used heavier duty vs dryway screws that came with the shipment. Very unfortunate as I really wanted the floating shelf look.

the actual shelf itself is very nicely made and is very smooth with no chips. attaching the shelf to the wall is where the issue is in my opinion. you simply slide the shelf onto the bracket with no way to secure the shelf to the bracket. My shelf slightly droops when slid all the way back so that it slopes downward from the wall making it not level. I have made sure to affix to 2 studs, and placed drywall anchors where needed so that the shelf is secured with screws on the top and bottom of the bracket. bracket itself is super sturdy but it should have holes in the middle of the bracket not just at the tops and bottom of the bracket. I have not sourced a solution to this drooping issue yet. looks lovely, but not super pleased with the fitment.

I left a separate review for my other units. But these are the 16”x10” unfinished white oak. One of them was over sanded, it is visible and noticeable at eye level. Probably should have been a factory second but with a bigger company could slip through the cracks. Ultimately, my 4 shelves were about $900 and the expectations are high when that’s the cost. If it’s in a kitchen or very visible this might be the option but there are less expensive options that might be a better fit especially with varying qualities of finish.

These are 36” x 10” unfinished white oak floating shelves. One of them was over sanded in the corner causing a visible dip. The mounting mechanism to the wall was great, allows you to find studs and get a few screws in each. But for the price, this was a very expensive option that ultimately didn’t blow me away. The over sanded corner should have been a factory second if we’re being fair. They are essentially joined 2x4 and 2x6’s unless you have a narrower (8” or less) shelf then it’s potentially a single slab. And you can see they’re joined if mounted at eye level. It’s definitely solid wood though.

The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the 1-2 day shipping was more like 2 weeks. It wasn't even 1-2 day transit time after being shipped so I don't know why it's listed as that.
But the shelves themselves are amazing and worth the wait.

The color is just wrong. In the pictures, the color is light almost towards beige, but in reality it looks ashy and Smokey, has more gray tone. Definitely not as shown in pics!!

I am unhappy with the quality of the shelves I received because the corners were damaged on both. One looked like the wood had been split (possibly via the cutting process) and the other had been "repaired" with wood glue and sawdust, making the corner much darker than the rest of the piece. I don't believe this is the standard of quality that should be delivered for such expensive and visually striking shelves. That stated, the Urbandi team was very kind and accommodating, offering replacements or a partial discount--so I am happy with their service. Otherwise they were easy to install and feel very stable on the wall.

For the shelves to be level the inset metal brackets need to be the same distance from the wood edges (level with the outline of the shelf). In my case one of the brackets was at a slight angle. I made a template of the outline of the shelf, bracket and all screw holes. Attached it (reversed) to the wall and proceeded to attach the bracket to the wall. Also one of the three shelves ordered was probably red oak.
That said the shelves look very nice!

Shelves arrived relatively quick and undamaged.
One of the shelves had a rather large knot but it adds some character. Of the 3 J type bracket shelves we purchased, one was missing the J brackets but I didn’t actually need brackets for one of them so it wasn’t an issue.
All in all they are good quality shelves. I would’ve preferred to have purchased all 5 shelves as floating type but the 3 larger(63”) were significantly more expensive and exceeded my budget.
