Shelf is beautifully crafted and shipped well-packaged and secure however; this shelf is very heavy and the hardware provided was not enough to support the bracket and weight of the shelf. I ended up buying screws from local hardware store since urbandi wanted an additional $25 for their tiny hardware bag. A tad displeased and put off that they wanted additional $$$ for hardware after the price paid for the shelf.

The wood is very nice, but there is a design flaw in the mounting hardware. I ordered a 20” shelf with the expedition of mounting between two studs. Standard wall studs are 16” on center. However the entire length of the bracket is only 16”. This means there is no way to mount to two studs as the furthest holes in the bracket are 15” apart. Even if you drilled new holes it would not be wide enough.

I bought 4 unfinished oak wood shelves for a long wall in my kitchen, 2 60" and 2 42" and they are wonderful. I am thankful I didn't have to install them because they are solid wood and very heavy, look fantastic!! My contractor installed them into the studs, cutting out the sheetrock for a very finished look. I did clear coat these as they retain water marks right away if not! They match my kitchen modern slim shaker oak cabinets quite well. Very glad I got these.

The shelves are loose, and not level. The brackets were secured and were level, but the shelves do not fit snugly. They are level parallel to the wall, but not level perpendicular to the wall.

The shelves are heavy and look excellent. I put one coat of two part floor finish on them to seal but retain the white oak unfinished look.
I had problems with the supports. The post weld to the wall plate is not strong / stiff enough to support the heavy shelves without sagging. My contractor too the supports to a local welding shop who added gussets above and below the horizontal supports. The end result was very acceptable, but it cost me an extra $50 to reinforce the supports.

They droop! Significantly! I purchased these to replace two lighter weight kitchen shelves that were already installed when we purchased our home. I figured since I was paying $500 for these two shelves that they would be a higher quality. Unfortunately, even though they are drilled into two studs each, there is still significant drooping with these shelves. And the contents of the shelves are way under the maximum weight limit.
They are made out of beautiful wood and would look nice if they could just stay level

These are beautifully made shelves. However, they are solid wood and heavy. So be sure you do your due diligence on finding studs to screw the hardware into that holds the shelves. You'll need some good anchoring to keep them in place.

This one was my second from Urbandi. I started with a 4 foot white oak which I bought first to check the quality. I had already purchased a 3 footer from UltraShelf (US) as my first floating shelf, which I found to be A#1 top quality. I thought to check out Urbandi because they looked the same on-line and were much much less expensive than the US version of the same product. So the 4 foot Urbandi unit was as nice as the US and exactly the same wood, color and finish, except I liked the US mount bracket better, it is a bit heavier, but they both do the job. Well, I needed another, this time, a 3 footer, so I went with Urbandi again, because it was half the cost and the quality is definitely just as good as the UltraShelf units, guaranteed! I am totally happy with both manufacturers, but Urbandi makes more sense to me from a cost perspective. Smart move by me, and well done Urbandi! Thank you!

The shelf is beautifully finished and is everything I imagined. The mounting hardware however needs upgrading. The staggered holes in the mounting bracket insure that you can't put two screws in the same stud which means that the shelf isn't as sturdy as it could be. Additionally, the 'solution' for correcting a shelf's level from front-to-back leaves much to be desired! Instructions say to drive a screw into the stud underneath the bracket and adjust the depth of the screw to level the shelf.
in my limited experience Urbandi does outstanding mill work and if they redesign their mounting hardware they will deserve the premium prices they charge for their products

purchased the 48-inch unfinished white oak floating shelf, and while the quality of the wood itself is excellent—beautiful grain, well-packaged, and protected—the bracket installation left much to be desired. As a woodworker, I originally planned to make my own shelf but opted for a professionally made one to save time and avoid the challenges of drilling precise holes for a floating bracket. Unfortunately, that’s exactly where this product fell short.
The internal bracket features four rods meant to slide into pre-drilled holes in the shelf. While three were properly aligned, the fourth was significantly off-center. Despite using a precision jig and applying wax to ease installation, the misaligned rod made it impossible to achieve a perfectly square fit. I was able to make some minor adjustments, but the discrepancy was too great to fully correct.
Ultimately, while the wood itself is outstanding, the flawed bracket alignment defeated the purpose of purchasing a pre-made floating shelf. If the bracket had been properly installed, this would have been a five-star product. Instead, the difficulty of installation and the need for workaround adjustments make it a frustrating experience.

I originally purchased a beautiful 3'X8" UltraShelf (US) floating shelf, which is extremely nice quality, but then I found Urbandi and these shelves looked on par, so I decided to buy one. I purchased a 4'X8" and the cost was less than the US 3'X8" shelf! I was thrilled to discover the quality was just as beautiful. In fact, the US unit in the same 4'X8" size, same wood, same finish, is twice the cost of Urbandi shelf, (same mounting system too). Urbandi is the best floating shelf I have found at unbeatable prices, (check this out for yourself). I will now buy another Urbandi to complete my office this time I'll buy the 3'X8" unit to mount just above the US unit. Incidentally, the US shelf is 2 solid pieces of wood joined together, but the Urbandi is one single solid wooden shelf, no joints! Not sure if they are all this way, but mine is! This is a really great 'custom-made-to-order' product. Well packaged and shipped with protective materials. Beautifully finished. All the required mounting material was provided. The mounting bracket is well designed and easy to mount to the wall. The shelf just slides into place on the bracket. More important than anything--my wife was elated!
