Installation Steps:
Step 1:
Find the studs in your wall using a stud finder, and lightly mark their location with a pencil. Stud installation is highly recommended for a secure fit.
Step 2:
Decide where you want to hang your shelf. Hold the mounting bracket against the wall, making sure it’s level. Mark the screw holes on the wall studs with a pencil.
Step 3:
Partially screw the mounting bracket into the wall using the provided screws. Check again that the bracket is level, then fully tighten the screws.
Step 4:
Align the holes on the back of the shelf with the bracket extensions, and slide the shelf into place.

Are Urbandi products hand made?
Yes. Every Urbandi piece is made through a hands-on build-to-order process. We use modern tools for precision, but the majority of the work is guided by skilled craftspeople who select, cut, assemble, sand, finish, pack, and inspect each piece with care.
Are Urbandi products made from real wood?
Yes. Urbandi products are made from real solid wood, not MDF, particle board, or cheap veneer. Some pieces, such as certain fireplace mantels, use a hollow solid-wood construction to make installation easier and pricing more accessible while still maintaining real wood quality.
Can Urbandi products be used outside?
Most Urbandi products are designed for indoor use, where temperature and humidity are controlled. Outdoor pieces may be available as custom orders using materials and finishes suited for exterior conditions. Contact our team to discuss your project.
How much weight can Urbandi shelves hold?
Weight capacity depends on shelf size, depth, bracket type, and installation method. On average, floating shelves installed into wall studs with the included brackets can hold 25–55 pounds per stud. Longer or deeper shelves may need additional support brackets.
How do I care for real wood?
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Wipe spills right away with a slightly damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasive pads, and silicone-based products. Keep real wood away from extreme heat, direct sunlight, and excessive humidity.
How do you choose your raw material suppliers?
We choose suppliers based on material quality, consistency, responsibility, and proximity. For hardwoods, we work with mills in Central Appalachia and trusted regional partners who provide strong, beautiful wood suited for long-lasting furniture and shelving.
Customer service responded quickly but just strung us along. We waited a very long time for both our orders. The shelves arrived and do not to match. Photos show what we received and the product on the website that we ordered. The craftsmanship is awful. The bracket is cheap. The stains on the shelves we received are not even close to each other, let alone close to the photo on the website. We are so disappointed in this product and for the price we paid. We got a “15%” refund on the first shelf for having to wait almost a month for it. Then the second shelf arrived and looked AWFUL! Such a terrible, drawn out experience.
Great craftsmanship. These look upscale because of the 3” thickness.
Two shelves can have slightly different color or pattern - in case anyone is looking to match exactly. But this uniqueness is the beauty of real wood.
I had ordered the samples to get the idea of the color.

The color of these floating shelves are a yellow orange oak. Definitely not what was pictured. Now I have to send them all down and apply a proper stain. Very unhappy with the product.
This is the 3rd Urbandi floating shelf that we've ordered. The construction is very solid and the depth of the support bracket gives it added strength compared to some floating shelves that have a shallow support bracket. The staining was as advertised and it looks great on our wall. And, on top of that, the Urbandi company is great to work with.

Urbandi shelves are by far superior to any I have purchased in the past. I’ve bought plenty of "big box" store shelves over the years, but the quality here is simply non-comparable.
The items arrived very well-packaged, ensuring everything was in perfect condition. While the installation was a little tricky due to the wooden brackets, I was able to get everything mounted successfully. The final result is a perfect fit—nice, clean, and exactly the look I was going for.
I am very happy with this purchase. I would definitely recommend Urbandi to others, and I will certainly be coming back to purchase more shelves in the future!

Absolutely beautiful! Very high quality construction, they came out of the box still smelling like fresh wood stain. Amazing to be able to get shelves that are real wood and real stain!
Correct the description online and pictures. If it says shelves and a shows picture of two shelves, the assumption would be set of two. I shouldn’t have to click detail to see single shelf. If this was my first time ordering sure, but have ordered twice in the past from you on Amazon (which is from your store front) and those are sold in a set. Great product but not worth 145 for one shelf.
