Urbandi ONE Ingredient. Real. Solid. Wood.
Each piece is handcrafted by skilled American craftspeople using carefully selected furniture-grade pine chosen for their durability, strength, and beautiful natural grain.
All of our Pine wood comes from The Pine State of Maine, known for the highest quality White Pine in the United States..
Eastern white pine from Maine is famous for its high quality because the state's cool climate and rich, well-drained soils allow the trees to grow straight, tall, and with tight, uniform growth rings. Maine pine is prized for its:
Straight Grain: Maine’s dense forest stands force trees to grow upward quickly for sunlight, resulting in straight, clear timber with very few knots.
Sustainably Managed: Generations of localized forestry practices in Maine have optimized the sustainable growth and harvesting.
Every space is different, and sometimes the perfect piece doesn’t come in a standard size. With Urbandi Bespoke, you can tailor our furniture to fit your exact space and vision.
“I was really impressed by the size and quality of this table. It feels solid, beautifully made, and knowing it’s handcrafted in America makes it even more special.”
Every Urbandi product is made in Cincinnati, Ohio by our team of skilled craftspeople.
Are Urbandi products hand made?
Yes. Every Urbandi piece is made through a hands-on build-to-order process. We use modern tools for precision, but the majority of the work is guided by skilled craftspeople who select, cut, assemble, sand, finish, pack, and inspect each piece with care.
Are Urbandi products made from real wood?
Yes. Urbandi products are made from real solid wood, not MDF, particle board, or cheap veneer. Some pieces, such as certain fireplace mantels, use a hollow solid-wood construction to make installation easier and pricing more accessible while still maintaining real wood quality.
Can Urbandi products be used outside?
Most Urbandi products are designed for indoor use, where temperature and humidity are controlled. Outdoor pieces may be available as custom orders using materials and finishes suited for exterior conditions. Contact our team to discuss your project.
How much weight can Urbandi shelves hold?
Weight capacity depends on shelf size, depth, bracket type, and installation method. On average, floating shelves installed into wall studs with the included brackets can hold 25–55 pounds per stud. Longer or deeper shelves may need additional support brackets.
How do I care for real wood?
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Wipe spills right away with a slightly damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasive pads, and silicone-based products. Keep real wood away from extreme heat, direct sunlight, and excessive humidity.
How do you choose your raw material suppliers?
We choose suppliers based on material quality, consistency, responsibility, and proximity. For hardwoods, we work with mills in Central Appalachia and trusted regional partners who provide strong, beautiful wood suited for long-lasting furniture and shelving.
The aged oak goes well with the stacked stone brick on the fireplace. The quality is excellent. There will be three shelves installed to the left of the fireplace in our mountain condo. Can’t wait to receive them and get them installed and decorated!
It was so helpful getting the color samples! Not only does it show the quality of the Urbandi product, but they sent samples of five colors. I had already selected the colors I wanted from their website, but it was great being able to see them in person and to hold them up to the areas where they will be installed. Placed my order today!
The sample colors are consistent on the blocks. I just hope a little more care is taken on workmanship. There are frayed edges where they eased the corners against the grain. Still waiting on my initial order.
The samples were an excellent size and makes it easy to see what color mantle I need to order.
Highly recommend getting the samples first as it’s $12 well spent.
Frankly, it's just wonderful to be able to get samples to see colors in person before you place an order and end up with something that does not match your decor. These were great, sizable samples that allowed me to make my decision quickly and easily. My only complaint is that now I own the samples. Urbandi should figure out a way for customers to return the samples to them so that they can be reused. It's a waste for my to have them now. What do I do with them? I don't want my money back, I just don't want them to end up in a landfill.
We ordered samples first and received a 10% discount for a future order. Although we thought the sample colors were great, we decided to use our own stain to better match the cabinets, etc. in our home. We thought Urbandi's prices were reasonable and we ordered the "Rustic Mantel: 60Lx8Hx8D / Unfinished". It looked just like the photo on the website. We decided to sand it a little (not necessary; just our preference) and then we stained it and it came out great! The small irregularities were just what we wanted! The main box is sturdy, but lite and the hanging mechanism was very easy to install. My husband installed it himself in about an hour. Thanks Urbandi - great product!
Appreciate having an inexpensive way to bring the colors into our space where I can consider them with our lighting and furniture to help me feel more confident for our larger purchase!
I will be installing a shelf to hold an antique clock in the very specific area that will house my table that I store a keyboard on. It was on a shelf previously that was designed to hold this special clock In a In a corner, and exceedingly sturdy. When I moved, of course, that shelf stayed. I’m having a very easy time considering between these samples as the table is a very pretty old antique Maple and this clock is 1800s. I was so pleased to receive these chunky pieces of sample versus small slivers because I can visualize with the depths of them how it’s going to look as this clock will be sitting directly on it. I need to wind the clock every day so I do need a good sturdy shelf of size underneath it . I am looking forward to ordering shelf in the next few days with extreme confidence. The reviews I read here and see of your products makes me very excited to be able to install a shelf. I know I will be very confident with.
I ordered the rustic mantel wood samples so that we could compare the colors. So glad to see them in person as we made a change on a previous decision based on the photos alone. The samples were labeled and easy to identify each color. We highly recommend that you order the sample pack. You won’t be disappointed!
We finished there 30 x 12 rustic shelves ourselves in early American Stain with 4 coats of varathane. No sanding was needed. Very nice! Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is on contractor said they were about 1/8 in off all different. He was putting them up between tiles, ended up numbering them. The bottom two are not screwed into anything on the sides, so not as sturdy as top ones. Also only 4 stars because unfinished should be quite a bit cheaper.
I was very excited to receive my sample box. Unfortunately the stain I wanted (Black) did not come in the box. What did come in the box looked great. The quality felt and looked amazing but none of the colors will work with the design I’m trying to achieve. It would have been great if the sample description tells the customer what samples will be shipped so that the customer is aware of what they are purchasing. I would have loved to purchase a custom piece but refuse to pay again for another sample, thank you.
These samples were helpful but I’m annoyed that I even had to order and pay for them in the first place. The reason I did so is because the product I wanted to order has pictures of all of the colors the product comes in, but the pictures are not labeled so you can’t tell which picture corresponds to which color. I used the chat function to ask for clarity but tbh I didn’t trust the answers that I got. Why wouldn’t you just label the photos on your site so I can be sure? I guess it’s a ploy for me to order the samples? It worked.
reference order#7773. Quality product, color good, packing good, easy to install, reasonable price. Only 1 fault there were some type of vertical tool markings on the front side on both ends of the mantle. The top and bottom boards would looked better on the front.
I was looking forward to receiving the pine wood samples and was hoping that the sample of Jacobean is the darkest of the samples based how it looks on the website. But the sample I received of the Provincial looks to be darker than the Jacobean. I am still lening to the Jacobean color. Is it the darkest?
