Urbandi ONE Ingredient. Real. Solid. Wood.
Each piece is handcrafted by skilled American craftspeople using carefully selected furniture-grade pine chosen for their durability, strength, and beautiful natural grain.
All of our Pine wood comes from The Pine State of Maine, known for the highest quality White Pine in the United States..
Eastern white pine from Maine is famous for its high quality because the state's cool climate and rich, well-drained soils allow the trees to grow straight, tall, and with tight, uniform growth rings. Maine pine is prized for its:
Straight Grain: Maine’s dense forest stands force trees to grow upward quickly for sunlight, resulting in straight, clear timber with very few knots.
Sustainably Managed: Generations of localized forestry practices in Maine have optimized the sustainable growth and harvesting.
Urbandi USA. Locally Handcrafted.
Every shelf is handcrafted in the USA using locally sourced natural, organic material - solid wood. By sourcing our materials locally and manufacturing domestically, we ensure superior quality, support American craftsmanship, and reduce unnecessary transportation costs and impacts.
Each shelf will differ because each piece of solid wood is unique. With a substantial 1.75-inch thickness and solid wood construction, these shelves offer a premium look and feel that complements both modern and rustic interiors.
Crafted of the highest Select-Grade pine from the Pine State of Maine, we minimize wood imperfections to provide a clean, natural look.Natural grain and knots are intentionally preserved to highlight the authentic character of real wood, ensuring that every shelf is truly one of a kind.

Find the studs in your wall using a stud finder, and lightly mark their location with a pencil. Stud installation is highly recommended for a secure fit.
Step 2:
Decide where you want to hang your shelf. Hold the mounting bracket against the wall, making sure it’s level. Mark the screw holes on the wall studs with a pencil.
Step 3:
Partially screw the mounting bracket into the wall using the provided screws. Check again that the bracket is level, then fully tighten the screws.
Step 4:
Align the holes on the back of the shelf with the bracket extensions, and slide the shelf into place.
CARE
For care, wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid the use of harsh chemicals and household cleaners to protect the finish. Hardware may loosen over time, periodically check that all connections are tight.

“I was really impressed by the size and quality of this table. It feels solid, beautifully made, and knowing it’s handcrafted in America makes it even more special.”
Every Urbandi product is made in Cincinnati, Ohio by our team of skilled craftspeople.
Are Urbandi products hand made?
Yes. Every Urbandi piece is made through a hands-on build-to-order process. We use modern tools for precision, but the majority of the work is guided by skilled craftspeople who select, cut, assemble, sand, finish, pack, and inspect each piece with care.
Are Urbandi products made from real wood?
Yes. Urbandi products are made from real solid wood, not MDF, particle board, or cheap veneer. Some pieces, such as certain fireplace mantels, use a hollow solid-wood construction to make installation easier and pricing more accessible while still maintaining real wood quality.
Can Urbandi products be used outside?
Most Urbandi products are designed for indoor use, where temperature and humidity are controlled. Outdoor pieces may be available as custom orders using materials and finishes suited for exterior conditions. Contact our team to discuss your project.
How much weight can Urbandi shelves hold?
Weight capacity depends on shelf size, depth, bracket type, and installation method. On average, floating shelves installed into wall studs with the included brackets can hold 25–55 pounds per stud. Longer or deeper shelves may need additional support brackets.
How do I care for real wood?
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Wipe spills right away with a slightly damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasive pads, and silicone-based products. Keep real wood away from extreme heat, direct sunlight, and excessive humidity.
How do you choose your raw material suppliers?
We choose suppliers based on material quality, consistency, responsibility, and proximity. For hardwoods, we work with mills in Central Appalachia and trusted regional partners who provide strong, beautiful wood suited for long-lasting furniture and shelving.
This is a well crafted, nice shelf. It’s solid wood, not particle board. Nicely finished and a high quality mounting bracket. It’s fits PERFECTLY in the space where I needed something custom sized. Thanks Urbandi!
The shelf had two nicks which I did not photograph. The bracket required shimming to level the shelf. This step was not referred to in the instructions nor was it required in the installation of the 60” shelf. I suspect the design of the 24” bracket is contributing to the problem.
This is a gentle criticism. It's been less time on email marketing and social media campaigns and more time on customer service, fulfillment, and quality control.
Lead time was longer than expected. Be aware the website says after processing means after the build of the shelves which takes several weeks Chips and dings in multiple locations, need better quality control or packaging.
Took longer than I anticipated to install Had trouble finding the studs, broke off the tips of a few anchors as I attempted to screw them into the wall and it was challenging to slide the shelf into the support rods
I'm not handy, but the end result is perfect
We absolutely love the shelves m. We ordered shelves before and a mantle. Craftsmanship is great. Only down side is the shipping. It took weeks to receive the order. But still highly recommend.
BUY YOUR OWN MOUNTING HARDWARE. Installing these was way harder than it had to be due to weak and cheap hardware. After lots of patches and new hardware, we made it work. They look good but don’t 100% sit flush against wall.
These shelves have exceeded my expectations! They're beautiful yet sturdy enough to last forever. I will definitely buy more shelves like these for other spaces in my home because they have complimented my kitchen so well.
I used Urbandi’s custom floating shelves for a resort project with a very small, unique space, and they were incredible to work with. They helped me figure out the right sizing, answered all my questions, and made the custom ordering process seamless.
The quality exceeded my expectations, and the finished shelves completely transformed the space. They look beautiful, are exceptionally well made, and gave the project the custom, high-end feel I was hoping for. I would absolutely recommend Urbandi to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer service.
One shelf arrived damaged. I contacted customer service and got 25% off.
However the bigger issue was the color. They are SO dark. I ordered Aged barrel but you can see by the photos that they are almost black, I think I was given Jacobean.
Customer service insists it’s the correct color. I waited so long for my order (the shipment was delayed as well) that I didn’t have time to return.
Not a fan
I tried to find shelves locally without luck. I wanted hand-crafted, which I knew would be an investment, so I was very nervous ordering shelves online, especially the stain color. However, once I opened the box I was absolutely thrilled! I ordered the rustic pine in Provincial and they exceeded my expectation. The craftsmanship and the finish color are perfect! I had 6 feet of empty wall over my coffee "bar" and these gave me an anchor to fill that space. The installation with two people went quickly. Both shelves angled down a little, so we needed to add a cardboard shim under each mounting bracket so they would sit level. Other than that, we didn't have any issues. I would definitely buy from Urbandi again!
The customer service and delivery was five stars. The installation was not as easy as I expected but the shelf is up and being used as intended.
I am happy with the end result. So is Godzilla.
Just thrilled with these floating shelves.
We happened to stumble upon Urbandi while searching for bookshelves. We weren’t thinking wall shelves but rather a small bookshelf/furniture item. This product is far better.
The color, Aged Barrel, was the perfect choice. Installation was fairly easy with the very clear directions. We just spent a long time determining the heights we wanted and then had issues with wall stud placement. But they’re in rock solid now. We will definitely recommend and use for future projects. Thank you!
The photo doesn’t do them justice. They are beautiful and sturdy. Perfect match for the butcher block countertop.
Great service as well. Easy to order online and easy to get ahold of staff via phone or email.
The shelves are beautiful! Well made, easy to install, and they fit my budget. If you're ever looking for some nice quality shelving Urbandi shelves are the way to go.
This shelf is excellent. Urbandi was great to work with. They stayed in contact with us every step of the way. The shelf arrived quickly and was better than any picture could. Made of real wood and was beautifully made. I would highly recommend this company and it's product. You will not be disappointed.
These shelves are beautiful and very high quality. They came packaged very carefully. They look awesome on my kitchen wall and I would highly recommend these if you want a high quality real wood well manufactured product. One installation tip- I tried to slide the shelves on to the three mounting posts after I had securely mounted the hardware to the wall and had a very difficult time so I loosened up the screws on the wall very easily mounted the shelf and then used an offset screwdriver to complete the installation it worked like a charm.
