Once you place your online order, what happens next?
Your Rustic Pine Floating Shelf order moves into our production schedule the same day your order is placed.
And goes into production the next day.
Since we control our entire process onsite and locally source our materials, we can focus on the finer details of our quality process.
HAND SELECT WOOD - Your wood is hand selected for the best quality, character and charm.
CUTTING - It sounds simple, but precision is key to meet your exact specifications.
ASSEMBLY - Since we allow for the proper amount of curing time, this step takes 5 hours.
REFINING - While many imperfections are actually part of the unique character of each piece of wood, some imperfections are flaws. So we go to additional steps to correct them.
SANDING - This is a two step process starting with automation followed by hand sanding to ensure your solid wood piece is just right.
FINISHING - Your piece comes to life with staining and finishing to ensure just the right look.
PACK & SHIP - The last step in our Build-To-Order sustainable process, is hand packing your personalized order. To ensure your order arrives safety and in a timely manner, we use UPS and FedEx.
RECYCLING - Through our Build-To-Order 7-step sustainable process, over 75% of our waste is recycled or repurposed working with local farmers who use our wood shavings for their barns and stables.
This entire Built-To-Order process for your Rustic Pine Floating Shelf can range from three to five days.

Urbandi MAX - Superior Weight Capacity
Wall mounted, space efficient design requires advanced engineering to deliver quality and performance in one package.
Our Urbandi MAX heavy-duty hidden bracket system is engineered for exceptional support. When properly installed, shelf capacity is up to 40 lbs per stud depending on shelf length, mounting configuration, and the number of wall studs available.
Using forged US Steel which is stronger and made from up 90% recycled steel, each Urbandi MAX shelf bracket is made in-house and can hold up to 40 lbs per stud or up to 120 lbs (based on three studs).
And to provide a beautiful and durable finish, we exclusively use commercial grade finishes plus protective clear coat for years of enjoyment.
Find the studs in your wall using a stud finder, and lightly mark their location with a pencil. Stud installation is highly recommended for a secure fit.
Step 2:
Decide where you want to hang your shelf. Hold the mounting bracket against the wall, making sure it’s level. Mark the screw holes on the wall studs with a pencil.
Step 3:
Partially screw the mounting bracket into the wall using the provided screws. Check again that the bracket is level, then fully tighten the screws.
Step 4:
Align the holes on the back of the shelf with the bracket extensions, and slide the shelf into place.
Product Care - Simple
To care of your Rustic Pine Floating Shelf, wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
To protect finish, avoid the use of harsh chemicals and household cleaners.
Please note, hardware may loosen over time. Periodically check that all connections are tight.

Are Urbandi products hand made?
Yes. Every Urbandi piece is made through a hands-on build-to-order process. We use modern tools for precision, but the majority of the work is guided by skilled craftspeople who select, cut, assemble, sand, finish, pack, and inspect each piece with care.
Are Urbandi products made from real wood?
Yes. Urbandi products are made from real solid wood, not MDF, particle board, or cheap veneer. Some pieces, such as certain fireplace mantels, use a hollow solid-wood construction to make installation easier and pricing more accessible while still maintaining real wood quality.
Can Urbandi products be used outside?
Most Urbandi products are designed for indoor use, where temperature and humidity are controlled. Outdoor pieces may be available as custom orders using materials and finishes suited for exterior conditions. Contact our team to discuss your project.
How much weight can Urbandi shelves hold?
Weight capacity depends on shelf size, depth, bracket type, and installation method. On average, floating shelves installed into wall studs with the included brackets can hold 25–55 pounds per stud. Longer or deeper shelves may need additional support brackets.
How do I care for real wood?
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Wipe spills right away with a slightly damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasive pads, and silicone-based products. Keep real wood away from extreme heat, direct sunlight, and excessive humidity.
How do you choose your raw material suppliers?
We choose suppliers based on material quality, consistency, responsibility, and proximity. For hardwoods, we work with mills in Central Appalachia and trusted regional partners who provide strong, beautiful wood suited for long-lasting furniture and shelving.
I understood the delay in shipping because of demand and was aware there is a no refund policy. However the shelves arrive with some minor defects. Nothing that can’t be hidden with stain and placement but felt you should be aware. Packing for shipment was satisfactory and no apparent damage during shipment. Possibly in final inspection. I would order again if needed and would recommend since these are “natural “ cuts.

This is a well crafted, nice shelf. It’s solid wood, not particle board. Nicely finished and a high quality mounting bracket. It’s fits PERFECTLY in the space where I needed something custom sized. Thanks Urbandi!
The shelf had two nicks which I did not photograph. The bracket required shimming to level the shelf. This step was not referred to in the instructions nor was it required in the installation of the 60” shelf. I suspect the design of the 24” bracket is contributing to the problem.
This is a gentle criticism. It's been less time on email marketing and social media campaigns and more time on customer service, fulfillment, and quality control.
Lead time was longer than expected. Be aware the website says after processing means after the build of the shelves which takes several weeks Chips and dings in multiple locations, need better quality control or packaging.
Took longer than I anticipated to install Had trouble finding the studs, broke off the tips of a few anchors as I attempted to screw them into the wall and it was challenging to slide the shelf into the support rods

We absolutely love the shelves m. We ordered shelves before and a mantle. Craftsmanship is great. Only down side is the shipping. It took weeks to receive the order. But still highly recommend.
BUY YOUR OWN MOUNTING HARDWARE. Installing these was way harder than it had to be due to weak and cheap hardware. After lots of patches and new hardware, we made it work. They look good but don’t 100% sit flush against wall.
These shelves have exceeded my expectations! They're beautiful yet sturdy enough to last forever. I will definitely buy more shelves like these for other spaces in my home because they have complimented my kitchen so well.
I used Urbandi’s custom floating shelves for a resort project with a very small, unique space, and they were incredible to work with. They helped me figure out the right sizing, answered all my questions, and made the custom ordering process seamless.
The quality exceeded my expectations, and the finished shelves completely transformed the space. They look beautiful, are exceptionally well made, and gave the project the custom, high-end feel I was hoping for. I would absolutely recommend Urbandi to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer service.
One shelf arrived damaged. I contacted customer service and got 25% off.
However the bigger issue was the color. They are SO dark. I ordered Aged barrel but you can see by the photos that they are almost black, I think I was given Jacobean.
Customer service insists it’s the correct color. I waited so long for my order (the shipment was delayed as well) that I didn’t have time to return.
Not a fan
I tried to find shelves locally without luck. I wanted hand-crafted, which I knew would be an investment, so I was very nervous ordering shelves online, especially the stain color. However, once I opened the box I was absolutely thrilled! I ordered the rustic pine in Provincial and they exceeded my expectation. The craftsmanship and the finish color are perfect! I had 6 feet of empty wall over my coffee "bar" and these gave me an anchor to fill that space. The installation with two people went quickly. Both shelves angled down a little, so we needed to add a cardboard shim under each mounting bracket so they would sit level. Other than that, we didn't have any issues. I would definitely buy from Urbandi again!
The customer service and delivery was five stars. The installation was not as easy as I expected but the shelf is up and being used as intended.
I am happy with the end result. So is Godzilla.
